Putting some one on a pedestal is far from giving some one the position of the almighty. Looking up to some one as they have always portrayed strength and conviction and ideals. When one day you find that what is said is not practised but far from it one tends to get disappointment. My pedestal I guess is referring to expectations. In either case I agree we ask for a lot.
