निर्दय बन गूंज रही है लगतार
मेरे विचरों की क्रिया का शोर है ये
या भूतपूर्व भावनाओं के भनभनाहट
यह निःशब्द आवाज़ पराया लगता है
नया-नया सा और कुछ परदेसी लगता है
खुशी से परिचित् हो कर भी मैं
उसे अपरिचित कर, शोर मचाता हुँ

Hi Atul. First time on your blog. The title of your blog reminded me of an article in my hindi text book in grade 9th (or maybe 10th). If I remember correctly, it was about Fiji and the Indian community there. Did you go to a school that followed CBSE curriculaum, by any chance? Felt very good to see DevNagri script – I am surrounded by text in English 😦 Will come back – definitely. Wish I could post a comment in hindi too.
@ gettingthere: Welcome. Yes, I am from a CBSE background. Was a lesson by Dharmveer Bharti. I think the Fiji one was called something else. It’s been difficult for me to get hold of old textbooks.
